How Askable collects, uses, and protects your information.

Who We Are
Askable is an AI visibility and optimization platform operated by Leads Genie LLC, a Florida-based limited liability company doing business as Askable. Our platform helps businesses understand and improve how they appear across AI-powered search engines and recommendation platforms, including ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and Gemini. This Privacy Policy applies to all visitors and users of askable.dev and related services (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Data We Collect
We only collect what is necessary to operate and improve the Service.

We do not sell your data. We never share your personal information with third parties for marketing, advertising, or any commercial purpose outside of operating the Service.

How We Use Your Data
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Service Delivery: Running audits, generating Askable Scores, populating your dashboard, and delivering AI visibility recommendations specific to your business.
- Account Management: Creating and maintaining your account, authenticating your identity, and managing your subscription tier and feature access.
- Communications: Sending transactional emails related to your account (audit completions, billing receipts). We may also send product updates, which you can opt out of at any time.
- Product Improvement: Analyzing anonymized, aggregated usage patterns to improve the platform and develop new features.
- Security & Fraud Prevention: Detecting and preventing unauthorized access, abuse, or fraudulent activity.
- Legal Compliance: Complying with applicable laws, regulations, and lawful requests from authorities.
We do not use your audit data or submitted URLs to train AI models, nor share them with any third party beyond what is required to operate the Service.

We do not permit these providers to use your data for their own marketing. We will notify you if we add a provider that materially changes how your data is handled.
Legal Disclosures
We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government request, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our legal rights, prevent fraud, or protect user safety.
Business Transfers
If Askable is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your data may be transferred. We will notify you via email and a prominent on-site notice before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Data Retention

To request deletion of your account and associated data, email support@askable.dev. We process all deletion requests within 30 days.

Security
- Encrypted data transmission via HTTPS/TLS across all platform communications
- Authentication handled via Google OAuth 2.0 — we never store raw passwords
- Database access restricted to authorized services and personnel only, with row-level security enforced on Supabase
- Payment data processed and stored exclusively by Stripe under PCI DSS compliance
- Regular review of third-party service provider security practices
No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. While we implement industry-standard protections, we cannot guarantee absolute security. We will promptly notify you of any breach affecting your personal data.

Your Rights
Access
Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you at any time.
Correction
If any information we hold is inaccurate or incomplete, request that we correct it.
Deletion
Request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention obligations. Deleting your account permanently removes all associated audit data.
Portability
Request a structured, machine-readable export of your personal data.
Opt-Out of Communications
Opt out of non-essential marketing emails at any time via the "Unsubscribe" link in any email or by contacting us directly. Transactional emails cannot be opted out of while your account is active.

Cookies & Analytics
Essential Cookies
Required for core platform functionality — managing authentication sessions and maintaining your logged-in state. These cannot be disabled without breaking the platform.
Analytics (Google Analytics 4)
We use GA4 to understand how users navigate Askable, which features are most used, and how traffic reaches us from AI platforms. GA4 data is anonymized and aggregated. We do not share individually identifiable analytics data with any third party. You can opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
No Advertising Cookies
We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or any tracking technology for ad targeting. We run no ads on our platform and do not permit third-party advertisers to track you through our Service.

Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for business use by adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have inadvertently collected such data, we will delete it immediately. If you have concerns, please email support@askable.dev.

Policy Changes
When we make material changes to this policy, we will:
- Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
- Send notification to your registered email address
- Display a prominent notice on the platform for 30 days
Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. If you disagree, you may request account deletion before the effective date.
